About The Position

The Salesforce Solution Architect is the solution lead on a two-person deal team, partnering with a Client Partner who owns customer relationships and commercial matters. This role owns the customer-facing solution process, including discovery, solution design, demonstrations, estimates, and statements of work. Customers are financial services organizations, including broker dealers, wealth and asset managers, capital markets and alternatives firms, and financial technology companies, many of which have 250 to 2,000 employees and prior Salesforce implementation experience. The architect leads the solution side of scoping calls, translates business needs into Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) designs, identifies platform limitations, and gives customers candid guidance. The role also scopes regulatory requirements, integrations, and AI opportunities; produces estimates and SOWs that delivery teams can execute; supports handoffs through project kickoff; and contributes reusable architectures and demos to the Financial Services team. The position co-sells with Salesforce account executives and solution engineers and may manage 10–15 concurrent pursuits.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated fluency in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, including households and relationship groups, financial account rollups, record types, and the ARC.
  • Firsthand understanding of FSC data-model limitations, including multi-entity firms, book-of-business transfers, and rollup performance at scale.
  • A track record of producing estimates that held and writing statements of work that delivery teams executed against.
  • Ability to conduct discovery without relying on a presentation deck, including leading a 45-minute call with a COO using questions and a whiteboard.
  • Fluency in at least one financial services focus segment, with understanding of concepts such as custodian feeds, broker-dealer supervision, and LP portals.
  • Strong Salesforce integration experience, including web service APIs and their limitations.
  • Daily use of AI tools and the ability to scope Agentforce use cases, including identifying when customer data is not ready.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial banking or credit union experience, including commercial lending, treasury and payments relationships, member 360 views, and nCino.
  • NetSuite familiarity sufficient to identify lead-to-cash or ERP-replacement opportunities and involve appropriate colleagues.
  • DealCloud or other industry platform exposure.
  • Data Cloud, RCA, or RCB scoping experience, especially for usage-based pricing.
  • Middleware experience with MuleSoft, Workato, Jitterbit, or Boomi.
  • Prior consulting or agency presales experience; product-company solution engineers may also be suited to the role, though SOW experience may be a development gap.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the solution side of scoping calls alongside a Client Partner, ask business questions, map needs to the FSC data model, and identify where out-of-the-box functionality may not meet requirements.
  • Conduct discovery with COOs, heads of advisory, operations leads, and other customer stakeholders, translating their business language into solution requirements.
  • Build customer-tailored demonstrations from a shared demo org, adapting them to the customer’s workflows.
  • Provide candid guidance about Salesforce platform capabilities and limitations.
  • Translate SEC, FINRA, Reg BI, KYC and AML, and GLBA requirements into practical design decisions.
  • Write levels of effort and statements of work that delivery teams can execute against.
  • Recommend build-versus-buy approaches for integrations with custodians, portfolio accounting, fund administration, core banking, and loan origination platforms.
  • Manage 10–15 concurrent pursuits.
  • Co-sell with Salesforce account executives and solution engineers.
  • Lead data-readiness conversations for AI opportunities, assess what customer data can support, and sequence data work before AI work when appropriate.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer for every closed deal and stay involved through kickoff to ensure a smooth handoff to delivery.
  • Contribute reusable reference architectures and demo assets to the broader Financial Services team.
