About The Position

DIS is seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce Release Engineer to manage and optimize release processes, ensuring smooth deployments and maintaining high-quality standards within our VA OMEGA Salesforce environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about cybersecurity, compliance, and protecting our Veterans' data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in release management or a similar role.
• Experience managing releases in an Agile environment.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of Salesforce release lifecycle and DevOps best practices.
• Proficiency with Copado (Pipelines, User Stories, Back Promotions, Compliance Hub).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Copado, Salesforce DX, Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
• Hands-on experience with GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with code quality tools (CodeScan, PMD).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Copado Certifications (Fundamentals I/II, Developer, Administrator).
• Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder, Administrator).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain the integrity and quality of software releases.
• Manage and monitor CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments.
• Debug and troubleshoot release-related issues.
• Document and improve release processes and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to release schedules and deliverables.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with releases.
• Communicate release status and updates to stakeholders.
