About The Position

The Salesforce Program Manager & Administrator combines hands-on Salesforce development with project portfolio ownership and vendor liaison responsibility, delivering CRM solutions across Surplus Solutions. The role owns the Salesforce environment and project portfolio end to end: gathering requirements across the business, prioritizing work with leadership, building or configuring smaller enhancements directly, and acting as the primary technical contact for external Salesforce development partners on larger builds. It also serves as the first point of triage for internal support cases, ensuring issues are scoped, resolved or routed, and closed with minimal business disruption. The role works with stakeholders across Operations, Sales, and other departments to translate business needs into specifications, manage project delivery and partner performance, coordinate contracts and invoicing, and communicate project status and risks to senior management.

  • At least 3 years of Salesforce development experience.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience, preferably on CRM or other business-systems projects.
  • Experience working directly with external development or implementation partners or vendors.

  • Document Salesforce workflows, configurations, and business rules.
  • Translate business requirements from Operations, Sales, and other stakeholders into specifications for development partners.
  • Hold development partners accountable for project timelines, budgets, and quality standards; escalate and resolve delivery issues.

  • Own the Salesforce project portfolio and track work that is in progress, queued, or complete.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines aligned with business requirements.

  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and stakeholder sign-off before deployment.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and clearly communicate risks.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal Salesforce support cases.
  • Triage incoming issues by severity and impact, resolving straightforward issues directly and routing larger or technical issues to a development partner or project queue.
  • Communicate resolution timelines and status to affected users and their managers.
