About The Position

Designs, develops, tests, and implements complex enterprise application software, including client, server, and middleware. The role includes designing and building complex algorithms and data structures, as well as application performance monitoring and tuning. The Salesforce Developer serves as a technical expert in one or more applications, develops scalable and maintainable Salesforce solutions, and works with Sales, Finance, Operations, IT, project management, suppliers, and junior staff.

Requirements

Eight years of experience as an IT professional, with broad experience across multiple IT disciplines.
Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and APIs.
Salesforce Revenue Cloud and/or Salesforce CPQ implementation experience.
Strong Apex and LWC development skills.
Quote-to-Cash business process knowledge.
Experience with complex pricing, product configuration, guided selling, approval processes, and quote templates.
Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, billing, finance, or other enterprise applications.
Knowledge of Salesforce DevOps practices, including source control, CI/CD, testing, and deployment automation.
Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
Ability to identify tasks that require automation.
Expertise in one or more software development languages.
Solid understanding of system lifecycle methodologies, software development tools, and standards.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant curriculum, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions.
A master's degree may offset one year of experience; a Ph.D. may offset two years of experience.

Responsibilities

Create complex software designs at the component level based on application architecture and detailed business requirements.
Develop complex algorithms and data structures.
Assist with translating logical data designs into physical database designs.
Develop strategies for monitoring, preventive maintenance, and disaster recovery of complex applications.
Serve as a technical expert in one or more applications within a portfolio.
Ensure solution designs meet scalability, performance, and quality requirements in accordance with negotiated service level agreements.
Participate in assessing and resolving complex software defects.
Assist project management with work breakdown structures, project plans, and identification of skills required to develop and implement applications.
Participate in design reviews for implementation projects.
Conduct technical evaluations.
Lead reviews, business case development, and implementation of software development tools, methodologies, and standards.
Understand IS security measures, standards, practices, and technology.
Serve as a liaison with suppliers for sustaining activities.
Assist in evaluating and recommending purchased software packages and supporting services.
Support management in recruiting and hiring.
Mentor junior staff on building and maintaining application systems.
Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions.
Collaborate and communicate with Sales, Finance, Operations, and IT stakeholders.
