About The Position

The Sales Cloud Engineer – FordPro Tech Team is responsible for the design, configuration, development, and optimization of Salesforce Sales Cloud solutions supporting FordPro’s commercial vehicle sales, fleet management, and dealer ecosystem operations. This role partners closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, and Integration teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing Salesforce capabilities that drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and data integrity across FordPro’s global B2B sales channels. The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce platform expertise with enterprise integration experience and strong DevOps discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years in Product Management or Technical Leadership, with at least 3 years specifically focused on the Salesforce platform.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce capabilities (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL).
  • Experience with APIs (REST/SOAP) and integration patterns.
  • Proficiency in Jira/Confluence and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to use data (SQL, Tableau, or Salesforce Reports) to drive product decisions.
  • Candidates for positions with Ford Motor Company must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a technical roadmap for Salesforce that prioritizes scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Balance the delivery of new features with the necessity of reducing technical debt and maintaining Salesforce "Org Health."
  • Evaluate third-party AppExchange packages and native Salesforce features to determine the best "build vs. buy" path.
  • Write detailed technical user stories, including API specifications, data mapping, and security requirements.
  • Lead grooming sessions to ensure the engineering team understands the "why" and "how" of every story.
  • Partner with Scrum Masters and Developers to remove technical blockers and ensure high-quality deployments.
  • Oversee integrations between Salesforce and internal Ford systems (e.g., ERP, Data Lakes, Identity Management) using MuleSoft or other middleware.
  • Define data governance standards within Salesforce to ensure a "Single Source of Truth" for customer data.
  • Ensure all technical solutions meet Ford’s Cyber Security, Privacy, and Legal standards.
  • Translate complex technical constraints into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of Salesforce’s three-times-a-year release cycle to proactively identify new features that can be leveraged.
  • Work with Architects to ensure the CRM strategy aligns with the broader Enterprise Architecture.
