About The Position

The Salesfloor Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate models positive customer service practices and supports a store culture of honesty, integrity, and respect. Duties include accurately processing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing and merchandising products for the sales floor, and maintaining store recovery, cleanliness, and organization standards. The associate also supports shrink reduction and safety efforts, follows labor laws and company policies, and performs other duties as assigned.

The position is located at TJ Maxx Store 0046 in Fenton, Missouri. The starting pay range is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
