About The Position

The Cashier/Salesfloor Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to meet business needs.

The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; prepares and processes merchandise for the sales floor; and maintains merchandising, recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. The role also supports store shrink-reduction goals, follows labor laws and company policies, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintenance and cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
