Cashier/Salesfloor Associate
About The Position
The Cashier/Salesfloor Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately handles purchases, returns, and change; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor. The associate also helps maintain merchandising, recovery, organization, and cleanliness standards throughout the store, supports shrink-reduction and safety efforts, follows labor laws and company policies, and performs other assigned duties. The position is at the TJ Maxx store at 8322 Highway 7, Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. Starting pay is $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver an engaging, highly satisfying customer experience and follow established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
