About The Position

Convergint is hiring full-time sales colleagues for its College Development Program. The program provides six months of training, networking, and learning before participants enter the marketplace to sell. In the role, you will prospect and cultivate relationships, understand customer needs, and secure sales opportunities while working with a team to deliver service to customers. The position offers the opportunity to grow alongside the company.

Requirements

• College degree, trade school, or equivalent experience.
• Strong affinity for problem solving and desire to learn, understand, and apply solutions to customer challenges.
• Ability to build customer confidence and cultivate business relationships.
• Ability to proactively source sales and service opportunities.
• Ability to adapt to business changes and influence others.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Technical acumen or an affinity for learning and keeping up with evolving technology trends.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of sales experience or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with existing customers and prospects to identify and cultivate new opportunities.
• Collaborate with partners in vertical markets and industries including transportation, global and enterprise accounts, utilities, financial and banking, healthcare, datacenters, government, and K-12 and higher education.
• Develop business opportunities, conduct customer needs assessments and site assessments, and write proposals for system installation and service opportunities.
• Develop market awareness through networking, presentations, event attendance, and industry associations.
• Partner with operations personnel to execute the growth, development, sales, and marketing of solutions.
• Translate customer needs and requirements into detailed proposals and project implementation plans.
• Participate in the Recruit Awesome People program by referring talent to the Talent Acquisition Team and hiring managers.
