About The Position

Too Good To Go is seeking an exceptional Sales Team Lead (SMB - Inside Sales) to be based in New York City. This role reports to the Associate Director of Sales-North America. The Sales Team Lead will manage a team of Inside Sales Specialists focused on acquiring and growing SMB partners across the U.S. through the full sales cycle. Responsibilities include setting strategic direction, driving accountability, ensuring alignment with targets, and empowering the team to achieve strong, scalable performance. The role involves inheriting and developing a team of 10-15 Sales Specialists, acting as a coach and mentor to enhance their skillsets and maximize performance, while fostering a positive team culture. The position is part of a high-performing sales leadership team, offering opportunities for leadership development. Key areas of focus include driving a performance culture, coaching and empowering the team through clear KPIs and structured development, owning talent acquisition and onboarding, and fostering team enthusiasm. In terms of sales operations and strategy, the role involves overseeing the inside sales acquisition funnel, focusing on metrics like effort, conversion, and revenue, and identifying process improvements for market penetration and efficiency. The role also entails cross-functional leadership within the Indies (SMB) Leadership team, contributing to broader strategy, translating global best practices into local growth levers, and aligning departmental goals with the country roadmap through reporting to the Associate Director of Sales-North America.

Requirements

  • Experience in leading and scaling sales teams, ideally within a fast-paced, KPI-driven inside sales organization.
  • Expertise in cold outreach and the ability to identify areas of opportunity in cold calls or outreach cadences.
  • Ability to provide succinct feedback and hold sellers accountable for implementing it.
  • Confident individuals with exceptional communication skills and a knack for building rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborative individuals who are ambitious to help support the growth trajectory in the U.S.
  • Comfortable with numbers and experience with monitoring and tracking sales KPIs.
  • Adaptable, eager to learn, with proven problem-solving skills and commitment to embodying company values.
  • Proactive self-starters who take accountability for their performance and their team's results.
  • Ability to know when to step in and help the team, and when to take a step back and look at the bigger picture.
  • Ability to adapt to your team's needs, support your team, and understand the needs of our partners.
  • Fluency in languages beyond English is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full inside sales acquisition funnel for the team, focused on metrics including effort, conversion, and revenue.
  • Identify and drive ongoing process improvements to increase market penetration and efficiency.
  • Contribute entrepreneurial thinking to the broader strategy as a key member of the Indies (SMB) Leadership team.
  • Translate global best practices and data-driven insights into actionable local growth levers.
  • Work directly with the Associate Director of Sales-North America to align departmental goals with the wider country roadmap.
