About The Position

Northgate Gonzalez Market is hiring a part-time Sales Team Associate to complete in-store food and non-food demonstrations. The associate learns about the products represented, demonstrates and serves products, engages consumers, and sells in a professional manner. The role involves preparing event tables and food samples, maintaining a clean and safe workstation, supporting client visits and audits, building rapport with store personnel, and completing expense reports. Work takes place in a retail store environment with some travel between stores. A professional appearance and proper grooming are required.

Requirements

Bilingual English/Spanish.
Food Safety Certificate.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to hear, speak, and understand spoken requests and communicate effectively with others.
Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret, and understand English and Spanish sufficiently to use equipment and tools and understand work-related documents.
Ability to drive from store to store.
Ability to stand for up to four hours at a time and perform the listed physical tasks, including walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, and handling or carrying items.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Ability to push and pull a fully laden demonstration cart weighing up to 300 pounds.
Ability to prepare food using cooking utensils and equipment and to work with hot oils and cleaning supplies.
Maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance; tattoos must not be visible while working.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Complete in-store food and non-food demonstrations.
Acquire and maintain knowledge of represented products.
Serve, demonstrate, promote, and sell products professionally to consumers.
Engage consumers proactively and communicate product features and benefits.
Prepare and serve food samples using cooking equipment and utensils.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning supplies.
Set up and prepare the event table and achieve complete execution of assigned work.
Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
Complete expense reports in accordance with company policy.
Use graphic aids such as charts, slides, or films to facilitate demonstrations when appropriate.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Maintain a professional appearance and comply with applicable retailer dress-code and grooming requirements.
Drive from store to store.
