Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience working with project management, accounting, sales tax, and/or research.
  • Glowing references from past supervisors.
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience and comfort in delving into complex data within spreadsheets including proficiency with Excel.
  • Awareness of personal triggers and impact on conversations, with a willingness to take responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding Project Management: Setting up and managing clients from the time they sign-up until onboarding is complete, including effective communication, data collection and analysis, and timely project progression.
  • Sales Tax Setting Setup and Testing: Setting up and testing tax collection settings on sales platforms, troubleshooting and resolving any collection issues to ensure clients are collecting sales tax accurately by their permit start dates.
  • Sales Tax Nexus Reviews: Analyzing economic and other presence factors to determine where clients have sales tax nexus and providing explanations to clients.
  • Contributing to Onboarding Process Improvement: Working with the Onboarding Team to identify and implement improvements to the onboarding workflow for a hassle-free client experience and minimized risk.
  • Making Sense of Transaction Data: Using Excel to unravel and document clients' transaction data, integrating it into tax software systems, and confirming its accuracy.
