About The Position

FMH is seeking a Sales Support Specialist. This individual coordinates sales support functions and key sales systems, including WebFocus and Dynamics, to ensure accurate reporting, effective workflows, and reliable data to support sales activities. Provides support throughout the sales process to the Senior Vice President of Sales, Sales Managers in the field, Agency Team, and Marketing Team by coordinating efforts, resolving system- and process-related issues, and ensuring timely and effective follow-through. Helps strengthen agency partnerships and enhance overall sales efficiency through collaboration, operational oversight, and system management.

Requirements

  • One to three years of relevant work experience.
  • Associate’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field required (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Some background and/or experience in sales, marketing, and/or agriculture needed.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Some experience in developing and delivering presentations to small and large groups.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and premium.
  • Experienced with CRM tools, preferably Dynamics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially strong in Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates the delivery of crop insurance-related content to customers in an assigned territory
  • Assists with new and existing product-specific research and reporting, competitor information tracking, regional analysis reporting, and agency profiling/segmentation.
  • Maintains a vast knowledge of FMH products, sales materials, and competitor products.
  • Educates agents on FMH products, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinates with Claims, Precision, Underwriting, and Sales Managers to address any issues that impact agents and customers within assigned territory.
  • Records activity in CRM tool and prepares a variety of status reports as requested including goal progress, product, feedback, competitive intelligence, etc. Provides “how to” support to field users.
  • Works with Regional Sales Manager to prepare a Territory Plan, including Action Plans, to achieve objectives.
  • Plans and prepares presentations and proposals for events including Agent Meetings, Update Meetings, Producer Meetings, FMH Wire and NAS (National Agency Summit), and for staff members as needed.
  • Supports Market Affiliations activities through the following activities: a. Point of contact for multiple 3rd party and internal partners. b. Provides high-level analysis on the success of relationships. c. Market Affiliations meeting planning and project tracking.
  • Provides assistance with Business Development activities.
  • Owns and administers sales systems, specifically WebFocus and Dynamics
