About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a Sales Strategy Analytics Lead to join the Sales Strategy and Operations team. This role partners directly with sales leadership, focusing on strategic planning, sales optimization, and business operational support. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams such as finance, employee success, marketing, and operations. It is a high-impact role with evolving priorities, demanding strategic thinking, focused execution planning, and leadership to bring plans to fruition. Projects can range from strategic to operational, covering areas like Go-To-Market planning, product playbooks, tooling, data quality, business planning, market segmentation, sales pipeline, and business performance reviews. Successful candidates will leverage data for insights, provide strategic recommendations, build scalable assets, and drive execution and organizational change. The role involves combining business intuition, innovative inquiry, insights from sales leaders, and curiosity to uncover trends and deliver impact across the organization.

Requirements

  • Advanced SQL (Snowflake)
  • Dashboarding in Tableau
  • Data modeling fundamentals
  • In-depth knowledge of sales related datasets / metrics e.g. acv, op, pipegen, account, aov, commit, g4g, carving, etc.
  • Experience in managing datasets, building reporting layers, and delivering BI solutions that scale
  • Ability to translate business questions into structured analysis, and distill complex results into actionable insights
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analytics / business intelligence
  • Strong business acumen with a passion for data and analytics
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to zoom out and think strategically
  • A "get-it-done" attitude with the curiosity to explore and improve
  • Excellent communication skills and experience presenting to executives

Responsibilities

  • Act as the go-to expert on data and analytics, providing strategic recommendations and insights through compelling, data-driven storytelling to influence key stakeholders
  • Design and build executive-level dashboards and self-serve reporting tools to track KPIs across Nextgen products
  • Own the end-to-end development of curated datasets and scalable reporting pipelines in Snowflake and other internal tools (Tableau Prep, Airflow)
  • Enable and automate operational rhythms such as QBRs, APMs, G4G, and monthly business reviews by delivering high-quality insights and visuals
  • Collaborate across functions - including finance, sales programs, operations, and product to align on goals and inform key decisions
  • Partner with teams to standardize definitions, metrics, and reporting frameworks for consistency across the org
