About The Position

The Histology Consumables Sales Specialist develops and implements clear sales strategies to rapidly increase laboratory consumables revenue and expand market share in New England. This position collaborates directly with Sales, Applications, and Service teams to achieve annual targets and consistently deliver outstanding customer service. The area of responsibility is New England, covering Boston, MA, RI, NH, ME, and VT. You will join the Commercial Organization and report to the Regional Sales Manager, who leads a team of sales representatives dedicated to helping each member meet sales goals and execute commercial strategies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: The Sales Specialist will achieve annual product sales goals set for the territory while working in coordination with the local assigned team within their territory. In addition, the associate will maintain accurate and timely opportunity funnel and customer data in SFDC with coaching as needed. The associate will achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance and coordinate product demo, installs, and customer training with support from manager and/or mentor. Work with prospective and current customers to increase Leica Biosystems' influence and presence across territories. Monitor and develop awareness of competitive activities and strategies, utilize Strategic Selling tools (Blue sheets) with mentorship and guidance. Develop on products, DBS, LBS Tools (such as DOMO, Showpad, Territory Business Reviews).

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree with 5+ years of experience or Masters Degree with 3+ years of experience
  • Proven time management skills.
  • Proven contract negotiation and high-level selling experience or selling in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software; Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Travel: 50-75%
  • Must Possess a valid Driver’s license; and ability to travel overnight for territory coverage (if applicable) and/or for company meetings
