About The Position

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Sales Specialist for Histology Consumables to develop and implement sales strategies to increase laboratory consumables revenue and expand market share in North & South Carolina. This role involves collaboration with Sales, Applications, and Service teams to achieve targets and provide excellent customer service. The position is part of the Commercial Organization and reports to the Regional Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and contribute to building a world-class commercial team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree with 5+ years of experience or Masters Degree with 3+ years of experience
  • Proven time management skills.
  • Proven contract negotiation and high-level selling experience or selling in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software.
  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Travel: 50-75%
  • Must Possess a valid Driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel overnight for territory coverage (if applicable) and/or for company meetings.

  • Prior laboratory sales, instruments or consumables.
  • Prior Sales Experience

Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual product sales goals set for the territory while working in coordination with the local assigned team.
  • Maintain accurate and timely opportunity funnel and customer data in SFDC.
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance.
  • Coordinate product demo, installs, and customer training with support from manager and/or mentor.
  • Work with prospective and current customers to increase Leica Biosystems' influence and presence across territories.
  • Monitor and develop awareness of competitive activities and strategies.
  • Utilize Strategic Selling tools (Blue sheets) with mentorship and guidance.
  • Develop on products, DBS, LBS Tools (such as DOMO, Showpad, Territory Business Reviews).
