About The Position

The Sales & Service Lead is integral to elevating the guest experience at ALO. This role ensures targets for engagement, guest education, and interaction are met, creates a service-led environment on the sales floor, and helps create a sanctuary that sets ALO apart from other retailers.

The Lead guides the sales and service experience, supports business performance through analysis and action planning, and helps ensure effective sales-floor coverage. They partner with operations and visual leaders, oversee Sales & Service Associates and Cashiers, and contribute to recruitment, talent development, coaching, and cross-functional execution.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of prior work experience in a client-centric sales environment.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent decision-making.
• Values feedback, is receptive to receiving feedback, and is eager to provide it.
• Self-motivated, with a desire to achieve results and excel individually and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Aligns with and embodies ALO’s Guiding Principles.
• Requires constant movement around all areas of the store.
• Ability to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and/or twist, and safely climb up and down a ladder.
• Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
• Full-time employees are expected to be available for opening, closing, and weekend shifts; schedules may be subject to change.
• Employees are expected to be able to work from the week of and including Black Friday through the end of the holiday season, the first week of January.

Responsibilities

• Lead an exceptional guest experience on the floor by assessing guest connection and product education, then supporting team members with feedback and coaching.
• Build client relationships with customers daily.
• Analyze reports, strategize to deliver results, and support action plans addressing deficient areas and growth opportunities.
• Ensure effective sales-floor coverage by developing workforce solutions and leading selling initiatives as needed.
• Partner with the Operations & Visual Manager on reporting, budgets, expenses, inventory control, supplies, vendor relationships, technology, and facilities.
• Use business metrics to support strategies that drive business results.
• Move dynamically on the retail floor to assess and fulfill the needs of the business, team, and guests.
• Lead by example and inspire staff in daily operations and guest experience.
• Directly oversee Sales & Service Associates and Cashiers, and be responsible for recruiting and developing talent.
• Use company performance tools to evaluate operations associates and provide ongoing feedback to support individual growth and improvement in partnership with the store leader.
• Collaborate with Community & Studio, Operations, and Visual Leads on cross-functional training and business execution.
• Execute company-level operations-focused directives, projects, and initiatives in partnership with the Sales & Service Manager.
