About The Position

Baker Hughes is seeking a Sales Senior Specialist - Account Management to drive strategic sales growth by building trusted, long-term customer relationships and delivering high-value technical solutions. This role involves leading cross-functional teams toward commercial success within the Pipeline & Process Services (PPS) Inline Inspection (ILI) business. The specialist will develop and execute sales strategies for assigned accounts in the United States, focusing on building customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering tailored ILI solutions. Collaboration with Commercial Operations, Project Management, and Operations teams is key to driving proposal development, order intake, and ensuring exceptional customer experience and profitable growth.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5–7 years of relevant sales experience is required (technical sales are strongly preferred).
  • Candidates must also possess either a bachelor's degree in engineering or a Business‑related field or a high school diploma with relevant sales experience.
  • Have general technical knowledge of pipeline systems, including strong domain expertise in inline inspection services and applications.
  • Have experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems to manage opportunities and forecasts.
  • Have 5-7 years prior experience in a sales role with strong customer interface responsibilities.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Have strong interpersonal, relationship building, and influencing skills.
  • Have demonstrated expertise in professional sales methodologies including prospecting, opportunity qualification, value positioning, negotiation, and closing.
  • Are comfortable traveling up to 25% to support customers and business needs.
  • This position requires current work authorization in the country of employment. The employer is unable to provide or continue work authorization sponsorship for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Have prior sales experience within the Inline Inspection industry and familiarity with key customers and operators.
  • Have strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing account-level sales strategies to originate opportunities and drive strategic growth within assigned customers.
  • Building and maintaining long-term, trusted customer relationships to identify current and future business needs.
  • Acting as the voice of the customer to translate customer requirements into solution development and financial forecasting inputs.
  • Owning assigned account orders and ensuring accurate tracking and forecasting within CRM systems.
  • Serving as the client owner within PPS and leading cross-functional teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Applying solution-selling techniques by maintaining strong knowledge of the full ILI and Inspection & Evaluation portfolio.
  • Supporting proposal development and commercial negotiations to convert opportunities into orders.
  • Ensuring continuous, clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the sales and execution lifecycle.
  • Operating with the highest integrity and full compliance with the Baker Hughes Code of Conduct.
  • Performing additional sales-related responsibilities as required to support business objectives.
