About The Position

This role is responsible for providing sales and customer support to assigned pharmacies.

Requirements

  • University degree in business or sciences, or equivalent business experience.
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to relate to and meet customer needs.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and Apotex products.
  • Computer skills sufficient for email communication and data manipulation.
  • Ability to skillfully negotiate with stakeholders to the benefit of the corporation.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 3 years successful professional sales experience (preferably in pharmaceuticals).

Responsibilities

  • Secures market share from new and existing customers by personally visiting the pharmacy to manage the account, including taking inventory, processing returns, and taking orders.
  • Negotiates based on a sound understanding of corporate strategies and customer needs to achieve net sales targets while controlling trade spend.
  • Represents Apotex at pharmacy social events, sporting events, conventions, buying shows, and education events as assigned.
  • Channels relevant market information to internal departments (Key Accounts, Marketing, Professional Services, Sales Directors) regarding customer concerns, lost/gained business, or competitive pricing.
  • Stays informed about new industry developments and company products, and communicates this information to customers.
  • Liaises with the Accounts Receivable Department to ensure customer accounts are current and collects payments as required.
  • Utilizes SFE/CRM technology to enter and maintain account information, including sales call details, contacts, account performance, and other required data.
  • Analyzes sales progress by account and develops strategic plans to gain/keep market share using IMS and SFE/CRM data.
  • Develops and executes an annual territory business plan.
  • Works within an annual promotional budget.
  • Responsible for annual business reviews.
  • Submits territory and expense reports regularly (within a maximum of 4 weeks delay).
  • Maintains current document training and prioritizes training gap reports to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Works collaboratively as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

  • Reports suspected Adverse Drug Reactions to Global Pharmacovigilance according to Corporate SOPs.
  • Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
