About The Position

Velocity Vehicle Group (VVG) is a rapidly expanding organization representing a premium commercial brand in medium to heavy truck dealerships. We offer a full-service experience including sales, technicians, and parts, along with leasing, rental, and financial services. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our Remarketing team. This role focuses on prospecting, generating sales, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of used trucks, pricing, and inventory management. Responsibilities include identifying leads, managing prospects, acquiring new business to meet sales goals, conducting prospecting activities, preparing proposals and presentations, drafting sales agreements, checking customer credit, introducing customers to the financing department, staying current on market trends, generating credit approval documents, and ensuring trucks are ready for purchase.

Requirements

  • Must present and communicate in a professional manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills.
  • Possesses proven analytical/problem solving skills for the customer and company.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Previous sales experience in the trucking industry.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Possesses strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Prospects and generates sales while cultivating and maintaining strong customer relationships with existing clients.
  • Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of used trucks, pricing and reviewing inventory daily.
  • Identifies leads, manages prospects, and acquires new business to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Conducts prospecting activities to secure appointments with decision-makers.
  • Prepares and delivers compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Drafts sales agreements to facilitate timely transactions.
  • Checks the credit of potential customers.
  • Introduces customers to our financing department.
  • Stays current on market behavior and competitive trends.
  • Generates all necessary documents related to credit approval.
  • Ensures that trucks are ready, repaired, clean, and presentable for purchasing customers.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of used trucks and pricing.
  • Reviews inventory on a daily basis.
  • Meets or exceeds new business sales goals.
  • Completes prospecting activities to secure first and follow up appointment with decision makers.
  • Prepares and delivers proposals/presentations to customers and key decision makers.
  • Prepares and drafts sales agreements and other paperwork needed to complete the sale in a timely manner.
  • Introduces customers and prospective customers to VVG financing department.
  • Develops and maintains an awareness of the market behavior and competitive trends and responds accordingly.
  • Provides and generates all documents related to credit approval.
  • Ensures trucks are ready, repaired, clean and presentable for purchasing customer.
