About The Position

This role involves conducting investigations of forfeited Company bail bonds. The Investigator will review filed information, verify details, generate leads, and perform thorough investigations. This includes identifying, contacting, and interviewing potential sources of information, as well as preparing, evaluating, summarizing, and documenting investigative findings in the company's internal computer database. The Investigator will also prepare and submit legal documentation to Company Legal representatives and may conduct surveillance of individuals or locations pertinent to investigations. The role requires the ability to interact and establish working relationships with various municipal, state, federal, and private organizations, function productively as part of a team, and work independently when necessary. The Investigator must keep their Team Leader informed of ongoing activities and matters affecting operations, and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have at least a 40 hours Powers of Arrest P.O.S.T course
  • Must live within 45 miles of San Jose
  • Must be PC 1299 compliant and possess a valid California Drivers License.
  • Investigators should have knowledge of investigative principals, techniques, and procedures.
  • Possess the ability to conduct investigations; apply laws, rules, regulations and adopted company standards; conduct interviews and gather facts to evaluate findings and apply in each case.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts investigations of forfeited Company bail bonds.
  • Review filed, verify information, generate leads, and conduct through investigations.
  • Identifies, contacts, and interviews potential sources of information.
  • Prepares, evaluates, summarizes, and documents investigative findings into case notes within company-wide internal computer database.
  • Prepares and submits legal documentation to Company Legal representatives for further legal process.
  • Conduct surveillance of individuals or locations deemed pertinent to investigations.
  • May interact and establish working relationships with various Municipals, State, Federal and private organizations.
  • Ability to function as a productive member of a team, and work individually when case dictates.
  • Keeps Team Leader appropriately informed of ongoing activities and other matters affecting operations.
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, and performs work as assigned.
