GENERAL FUNCTION Riverside Opticalab Group, a division of EssilorLuxottica Canada Inc., is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Consultant with a passion for the ophthalmic lens industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our innovative lens products to eye care professionals and optical retailers. This role involves client visits, follow-ups on issues, and negotiating new deals to expand our market presence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the ophthalmic lens or optical industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office environment
  • Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly visit existing and potential clients, including optometrists, ophthalmologists, and optical retailers, to maintain and build strong relationships.
  • Present and promote Riverside's range of ophthalmic lenses, highlighting new products, innovations, and advantages to meet client needs.
  • Act as the primary contact for client concerns or issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with Riverside’s business objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, client interactions, and market insights to the Sales Manager.
  • Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with broader company goals and to provide feedback for product improvements.
