The opportunity We’re looking for a Corporate Representative to help Kin navigate complex first-party property litigation with clarity, consistency, and confidence. In this role, you’ll serve as Kin’s designated corporate witness in litigated property claims matters, helping ensure our claims handling practices, underwriting intent, and company positions are represented accurately and professionally during depositions and trials. This role is especially impactful as Kin continues to scale and strengthen its litigation strategy across multiple jurisdictions. You’ll work closely with Litigation Adjusters, Claims Legal, and outside counsel to prepare defensible testimony, identify litigation risks, and uphold Kin’s standards of integrity and customer advocacy. This is an opportunity for someone with deep claims expertise and strong courtroom presence to directly influence litigation outcomes and support operational excellence across the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience handling first-party property claims, litigation claims, complex claims, or large-loss property claims
  • Demonstrated experience providing Corporate Representative testimony in Property & Casualty Insurance litigation matters
  • Experience serving as a corporate witness for 30(b)(6) testimony during depositions and trials in Florida and other applicable state jurisdictions involving first-party Property & Casualty Insurance claims litigation
  • Working knowledge of claim files, underwriting guidelines, corporate policies, and litigation documentation
  • Expertise in first-party property claims handling, policy interpretation, and state-specific insurance regulations
  • Active Florida Adjuster License
  • Ability to travel as needed for depositions, mediations, hearings, and potential trial attendance
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills with the ability to remain composed under pressure

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Kin’s designated corporate witness, including providing 30(b)(6) testimony in first-party property litigation matters
  • Testify on topics including claim handling, policy interpretation, underwriting intent, corporate policies, and general business operations
  • Conduct detailed cradle-to-grave reviews of litigated claim files, including systems data, file documentation, and internal communications
  • Partner with Litigation Adjusters, Claims Legal, and outside counsel to develop testimony strategies and identify litigation strengths and exposures
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of Kin’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), state-specific insurance regulations, and the “Four Corners” of the insurance contract
  • Prepare for depositions and trials through comprehensive document review, collaboration with internal stakeholders, and mock examinations
  • Ensure consistency of testimony across matters while aligning with Kin’s historical positions and brand values
  • Serve as the closing adjuster on litigated matters by monitoring executed releases, dismissals, and claim closure activity
  • Support additional litigation-related projects and operational initiatives as business needs evolve
