About The Position

Requirements

  • 2+ years of outside sales experience in security, low-voltage, AV, IT, or a related field.
  • Real knowledge of alarm systems, IP surveillance/CCTV, access control, or similar tech.
  • Experience estimating jobs and building professional proposals from scratch.
  • A proven track record of prospecting — you make calls, knock on doors, and build relationships.
  • Comfortable with commercial decision-makers: owners, property managers, facilities teams.
  • Self-managed and goal-oriented.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with brands like Honeywell, Bosch, Axis, Avigilon, or Lenel.
  • Experience selling service agreements or recurring contracts.
  • Existing relationships with commercial clients in CT or the NY metro area.

Responsibilities

  • Hunt for new commercial accounts through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and site visits.
  • Conduct site surveys and develop accurate estimates for alarm, IP surveillance, and access control projects.
  • Prepare and present proposals to business owners, property managers, and facilities directors.
  • Follow up on company-provided leads and convert them into clients.
  • Work with the installation crew for a seamless handoff.
  • Keep the pipeline organized and share regular updates with the team.
