About The Position

The Sales Representative - Power Generation will be responsible for traveling to current and potential customers to identify opportunities for Arrow power generation products and other related products. This role involves compiling information to prepare detailed technical proposals, monitoring industry trends and competitor activities, and adjusting sales strategies accordingly. The representative will also provide forecasting and market insights to management, prepare monthly sales forecasts using the CRM system, and work with other representatives to cross-sell other product lines. Key responsibilities include negotiating contracts and orders, preparing trip reports, providing input for product improvements, and assisting with trade shows and parts sales.

Requirements

  • Sales experience in power generation or related industry.
  • Ability to travel to current and potential customers.
  • Proficiency in compiling information for technical proposals.
  • Skill in monitoring industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Experience with CRM systems for sales forecasting and funnel management.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and orders.
  • Strong communication and reporting skills for trip reports.
  • Capacity to provide input for product improvements and development.
  • Willingness to assist with trade shows and parts sales.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to current and potential customers seeking opportunities to apply Arrow power generation products and potentially other products.
  • Compile information required to work independently or with Application Engineers to prepare detailed technical proposals timely and accurately.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adjust sales strategies and provide forecasting and market insight to management.
  • Prepare and submit monthly forecasts for power product sales using provided CRM, capturing new opportunities, following up on existing and using the defined sales funnel.
  • Work closely with other representatives to cross-sell other product lines through approved channels to market.
  • Negotiate contracts and orders with all levels of distribution.
  • Prepare and submit trip reports to management team.
  • Provide input for product improvements and new product development.
  • Assist in set up, tear down, and product promotion during assigned trade shows.
  • Assist in parts sales when appropriate.
  • Other duties as required
