About The Position

As our Sales Representative III with ENGIE North America, your primary objective is to prospect and acquire new Commercial and Industries (C&I) customers for ENGIE retail business in the Texas (ERCOT) region to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. In this role you will self-originate opportunities by identifying prospective Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers using Marketing campaigns and Hoovers data while relying on your market knowledge, cold calling and networking skills resulting in the creation of a pipeline, within your prescribed territory. This role sits in Houston, TX and will report to the Regional Vice President of Sales - ERCOT. Evaluate customer creditworthiness according to Credit Guidelines, utilizing financial literacy and relationship management abilities to gather necessary data for credit risk analysis Gather consumption data and account information to qualify customer interest, tailoring price proposals to meet their specific needs and load patterns Master ENGIE product offerings and communicate how proposals align with customer requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs Utilize questioning, listening, and persuasive skills to assess customer needs, propose tailored electricity supply offers, negotiate terms, and close transactions, collaborating with key teams for seamless service delivery and revenue realization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of business experience where you gain experience in retail energy sales or developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Direct sales experience, ideally within the retail energy industry.
  • Persuasive communication skills.
  • Effective negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interact with executive-level decision-makers.
  • Self-driven individual capable of quickly learning new products, processes, and systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently on a timely basis.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record for travel and car rentals.
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
