About The Position

The Sales Porter-New/Used is responsible for a variety of duties related to vehicle sales and the upkeep of dealership property. The role includes maintaining an orderly vehicle lot, moving vehicles as directed, transporting customers and dealership personnel, assisting with customer deliveries, and ensuring vehicles are clean and in good repair. The porter also places window stickers on newly arrived vehicles, transports vehicles to and from storage and other dealerships, assists with weather-related cleanup, and performs building and grounds maintenance as needed. Other functions and special projects may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance.
• Ability to handle machinery safely.
• Ability to drive across surrounding states to transport vehicles.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Valid state driver's license.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Keep the vehicle lot neat and orderly, and move units as directed by sales managers in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Assist with customer deliveries.
• Ensure vehicles on the lot and in the showroom are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure window stickers are properly placed on newly arrived vehicles for display on the sales floor or lot.
• Pick up vehicles from storage and deliver vehicles to storage and other dealerships.
• Assist with weather-related cleanup when necessary.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Perform other functions and special projects as assigned.
