About The Position

Scripps is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Media Planner to join our dynamic team in New York City. In this role, you'll be responsible for the pre-sales process, strategic building and stewarding of the linear sales proposals that maximize both advertiser needs and Scripps networks revenue. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent
  • 1+ years related experience in media sales or buying

Responsibilities

  • Build linear media proposals aligned with pricing guidance, planning strategies, and inventory availability.
  • Partner with internal pricing teams and buying agencies to support negotiations for upfront and scatter buys.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize revenue across linear platforms by adapting plans to market and inventory conditions.
  • Monitor campaign performance, ensuring delivery meets deal guarantees, and resolve over-delivery proactively.
  • Coordinate execution of on-air linear marketing campaigns from initial pitch through final activation.
  • Support P&I and Networks Revenue Sales management on ad hoc analyses and projects.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Operations team to meet log deadlines and ensure accurate, timely delivery of all on air elements.
  • Partner with Sales teams and clients to address billing discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with agencies, present media plans/programming opportunities, and maintain ongoing communication.
  • Mentor and train Sales Assistants, supporting skill development and team growth.
