Sales Operations Manager

Range•McLean, VA
•$70,000 - $170,000•Onsite

About The Position

Range is creating AI-powered solutions to eliminate financial complexity for its members, transforming wealth management through technology and human expertise. The company is in a hyper-growth phase and is seeking talented individuals to join its team. Every employee at this stage plays a role in shaping the company's culture. Range offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on how people manage their finances while working with a supportive team. This role is crucial for Range's growth, as Sales Operations forms the underlying system for how the company expands. The sales team operates in a regulated industry, requiring a clean, fast, and trustworthy operational foundation. This includes managing the CRM, routing, forecasting, reporting, call data, and the transition to membership. Much of this infrastructure is still under development, and the hired individual will be responsible for it. As the first dedicated Sales Operations hire, this individual will act as a strategic business partner to sales leadership. They will manage the rhythm of the business, including annual planning, target setting, monthly business reviews, and weekly forecasting. Additionally, they will lead territory planning, capacity planning, and goal setting. The role requires minimal guidance and involves both building within Salesforce and presenting data-driven insights to leadership. This is an individual contributor position reporting to the Head of Enablement, ensuring alignment between systems, processes, training, and coaching. Collaboration will occur daily with sales leadership and regularly with Finance, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and Engineering.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or a closely related analytical GTM role, ideally supporting full-cycle sales
  • Deep, hands-on Salesforce experience: you've built and maintained an org, not just pulled reports from one (Admin certification a plus)
  • Experience building systems for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, and forecasting, plus running annual planning and business reviews
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and comfort in SQL or a BI tool
  • A track record of designing sales processes that reps actually adopt, and shipping improvements independently with minimal oversight
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the confidence to present to senior leadership and bring cross-functional stakeholders into agreement
  • Curiosity about GenAI and new tools, and an eye for where a solution can scale across the team
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • FinTech or startup experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales leadership to shape and improve Range's go-to-market strategy, and influence decisions at the leadership level
  • Own the rhythm of the business: annual planning, target setting, monthly business reviews, and the weekly forecast, and keep making each one more effective
  • Lead capacity planning, goal setting, and own quota / compensation plan administration in partnership with Finance
  • Own Salesforce end to end and administer the GTM stack: communication, coaching, scheduling, and automation tools
  • Build the dashboards leadership runs the business on, such as pipeline coverage, stage conversion, cycle time, and win/loss, and explain the story behind the numbers
  • Design and document the sales process with Enablement so reps actually adopt it, covering stage definitions, routing rules, SLAs, and escalation paths
  • Find reporting issues and process gaps, then put lasting fixes in place so they don't come back
  • Drive automation and tooling improvements that you own end to end, including AI-assisted workflows, rather than only contributing to or proposing them
