About The Position

As a Sales Operations Associate in Kyndryl's Early Career Consult Program, you will assist sales teams in making informed decisions by transforming business data into clear and actionable insights. You will gain practical experience in sales reporting, forecasting, data quality, and business operations. Collaborating with colleagues in sales, finance, and operations, you will help teams understand pipeline, bookings, revenue, and productivity, thereby supporting accurate planning and enabling sales teams to focus on the most impactful actions. This role involves a blend of independent data analysis and collaborative operational support, including updating reports, reviewing data, investigating variances, understanding reporting needs, resolving data issues, and improving processes. The program offers a learning environment to strengthen business, technology, and consulting skills, with hands-on experience in enterprise reporting and CRM tools, and development of communication skills for various audiences. Your work will provide reliable information for planning, forecasting, and progress measurement, with opportunities for increased responsibility, idea contribution, and exploration of career paths in sales operations, business analytics, and consulting as your capabilities grow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, associate degree or equivalent practical experience completed recently or before the start date
  • Academic, internship, co-op, military, volunteer or project experience working with business data
  • Ability to organize data and identify patterns, differences or missing information
  • Experience using spreadsheets to sort, compare, calculate or present information
  • Ability to explain analytical findings clearly in writing, presentations or discussions
  • Demonstrated ability to complete structured tasks accurately and meet agreed deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with teammates while managing assigned work independently
  • Interest in sales operations, business analytics, consulting or revenue management

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics or similar tools
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau or another reporting and visualization platform
  • Familiarity with pipeline, bookings, revenue, forecasting or budgeting concepts
  • Experience creating dashboards, reports or data presentations through coursework or projects

Responsibilities

  • Turn data into useful insights
  • Prepare reports that show pipeline, bookings, revenue and seller productivity
  • Review sales results to identify trends, changes and potential data issues
  • Summarize findings so sales teams can understand what the data means
  • Compare actual results with forecasts and highlight important differences
  • Help maintain information used for sales planning and forecasting
  • Collect and organize data from agreed systems and business sources
  • Support budgeting, expense tracking and financial variance reviews
  • Complete recurring reporting activities accurately and by agreed deadlines
  • Update dashboards, reports and trackers used by sales teams
  • Review CRM records and work with colleagues to resolve data gaps
  • Follow documented data standards and reporting processes
  • Test report updates and confirm that information displays as expected
  • Work with sales, finance and operations teams to understand reporting needs
  • Document recurring processes so information is clear and easy to follow
  • Gather feedback and suggest practical improvements to reports and workflows
