About The Position

Some jobs are about making the sale. This one is about making sure the sale doesn't fall apart after the handshake. At Plumbers Supply Co., our inside sales team moves fast — bids come in, projects get awarded, orders get placed, vendors go quiet at the worst possible moment. The Sales Operations Administrator is the person who keeps all of it from slipping through the cracks. If you're the type who notices the missing line item before it becomes a problem, who actually likes a clean file structure, and who gets a small private satisfaction from closing the loop on something everyone else forgot about, then please keep reading.

Requirements

  • Meticulous to the point that sloppy paperwork bothers you personally.
  • Can juggle ten open threads in a loud, interruption-heavy room and still remember where each one stands.
  • Comfortable in Excel and Outlook and can learn a new system without hand-holding.
  • Can do the math — pricing, margins, quantities — without second-guessing yourself.
  • Would rather flag a problem early than explain a missed deadline later.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years in sales support, inside sales, quotes, or project coordination.
  • Experience in an ERP or order-management system (P21 a plus).
  • A background in HVAC, construction, or distribution.
  • High school diploma or GED required; coursework or a degree is a bonus, not a gate.

Responsibilities

  • Own the life of a bid from the moment it lands to the day it's won or closed: logging it, tracking it, keeping the bid calendar honest so nobody's blindsided by a deadline.
  • Assemble the submittals and O&M manuals — complete, accurate, on time, no scrambling.
  • Support quotes, customer orders, and job setup in our ERP.
  • Ride herd on open orders and POs until vendors give you the status updates you need.
  • Be the routing point for the sales inbox and phones, deciding what's urgent, what waits, and making sure nothing dies in a queue.
