About The Position

The Sales & Marketing Representative role is a great opportunity to sit at the center of Interfor’s Western Commodity Lumber business, managing key customer relationships while driving margin and market performance. You’ll be actively negotiating sales, monitoring market trends, and working closely with internal teams to move volume and optimize inventory. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, relationship‑driven environment and wants to make a visible impact on business results.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of commodity lumber sales experience preferred, with knowledge of the North American lumber market.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly with customers and teammates.
  • Detail‑oriented, results‑driven, and motivated to maximize margin in a dynamic market environment.
  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities with urgency.
  • Post‑secondary education, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and willingness to travel within Canada and the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day‑to‑day sales discussions, contracts, and pricing with an assigned customer portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key customers across Western commodity markets.
  • Analyze market trends and demand patterns to inform pricing, timing, and sales strategy.
  • Monitor mill and regional inventories and proactively move product to maximize margin.
  • Partner closely with sales teammates and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth order fulfillment and execution.

Benefits
