About The Position

Study Hall Rooftop Lounge is seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager with a primary focus on wedding sales and revenue generation. This role will drive wedding-related event sales for both the Study Hall Rooftop Lounge and the Residence Inn Berkeley function space. The ideal candidate will be responsible for proactively selling and closing wedding business, managing the sales pipeline, conducting site tours, creating customized proposals, negotiating contracts, and driving incremental revenue through bundled offerings. Additionally, the role involves supporting wedding event planning and execution, collaborating with various hotel departments, and activating wedding-focused social media campaigns. The Sales & Marketing Manager will also develop partnerships with wedding planners, vendors, and venues, and work with the culinary team to design wedding menus and packages. Requirements

  • Wedding Sales & Revenue Generation (Primary Focus)
  • Proactively selling and closing wedding business through outbound prospecting, referrals, planners, venues, and partnerships
  • Managing a consistent and accurate wedding sales pipeline using CRM systems
  • Conducting personalized site tours highlighting rooftop ambiance, guest experience, and wedding-friendly layouts
  • Creating customized proposals and packages aligned with wedding budgets, minimum spend requirements, and profitability targets
  • Negotiating contracts, deposits, billing terms, and payment schedules
  • Driving incremental revenue through bundled offerings (rooftop + function space, room blocks, F&B enhancements)
  • Meet or exceed assigned goals for wedding bookings, food & beverage revenue, buyouts, and room nights tied to wedding events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for wedding clients from inquiry through post-event follow-up
  • Prepare and distribute accurate event documentation (BEOs, timelines, floor plans)
  • Partner closely with Culinary, Banquets, Front Office, and Hotel Leadership to ensure seamless execution
  • Support service recovery and guest concerns in alignment with Pyramid Global Hospitality standards
  • Collaborate with Sparkle Digital Marketing to promote Study Hall as a wedding destination
  • Support wedding-focused campaigns with content, messaging, CTAs, and on-site visuals
  • Convert social media inquiries and DMs into qualified wedding leads and bookings
  • Participate in styled shoots, influencer collaborations, and wedding content days
  • Ensure guest consent, brand standards, and compliance for all posted content
  • Develop partnerships with wedding planners and coordinators
  • Develop partnerships with preferred vendors (florals, photography, rentals, entertainment)
  • Develop partnerships with wedding venues and referral partners
  • Collaborate with the Chef and Culinary Team to design wedding reception menus, welcome reception packages, and rooftop brunch and farewell experiences.
  • Recommend and promote signature wedding offerings such as: “Wedding Weekend Rooftop Welcome”, “After-Party Buyout Experience”, “Farewell Brunch Packages”

Responsibilities
