About The Position

The Sales Manager is a high-energy, self-motivated professional responsible for driving group and event business while ensuring seamless execution across all phases of the event lifecycle—from initial prospecting and sales through planning, execution, and post-event follow-up. This role requires a strong commitment to exceptional service, close collaboration with internal teams, and the ability to create seamless guest hotel stays and event experiences. This position focuses on generating and maximizing revenue through proactive sales efforts, strategic account management, and upselling of hotel services, while delivering exceptional guest experiences. As Sales Manager, you’ll ensure smooth transitions between sales and operations while maintaining strong client relationships that support repeat business and long-term growth.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in hotel sales & event management
  • Experience selling or servicing group business.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and revenue goals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in sales and catering, property management, and CRM software systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prospects for new business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, trade shows, community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, etc.
  • Drive group business through proactive prospecting, networking, site tours, and direct sales efforts.
  • Develop proposals and negotiate contracts to maximize room, catering, and overall event revenue.
  • Works closely with the Rooms Division team to coordinate guest room blocks.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges, providing solutions that enhance the guest experience.
  • Monitor group performance, forecast revenue, and manage budgets to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow-up activities within CRM and sales/catering systems.
  • Participate in sales activities including property tours and community events.
