About The Position

The Sales Manager will be responsible for owning the new business process, including lead management and qualification, and developing targeted materials to facilitate this process. This role involves implementing plans to achieve sales goals, ensuring collaboration among internal teams for new account growth, and coordinating with technical sales teams and independent representatives to target new customers. The Sales Manager will also serve as the advocate for key new accounts, develop regular account reviews, and negotiate pricing and terms to maximize profitability. Additionally, the role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and high-level decision-makers, generating regular reports on new account activities, and tracking key funnel metrics.

Requirements

  • Requires a BS degree, or equivalent, in a technical or business-related discipline
  • 3-5 years of sales experience in a complex global manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Strong direct and interactive computer skills
  • Excellent analytic and organizational skills
  • A demonstrated ability to perform in a fast paced, changing, and demanding environment.
  • An excellent command of the English language, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated skills in facilitating cross functional meetings, managing teams, and working effectively across all functions.
  • A strong background in sales activities and familiarity with CRM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own the new business process including lead management and qualification.
  • Develop appropriate targeted materials (marketing and otherwise) to help facilitate the new customer/new business process.
  • Apply expertise to implement plans and achieve individual, team, and organizational sales goals.
  • Ensure internal teams collaborate to meet all new account growth objectives and priorities.
  • Coordinate with internal technical sales team and independent sales representatives to target new customers.
  • Ensure profitable bookings from targeted new customers.
  • Serve as the voice of the key new account to top management and within the entire organization.
  • Develop regular reviews for all new accounts.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing and terms to maximize profitability while maintaining new account satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Initiate and manage business relationships with high level decision makers and other influential groups.
  • Leverage industry relationships and expertise to penetrate new accounts at industry leading profitability levels.
  • Generate regular summary reports on all significant new account activities and outcomes.
  • Track bookings, billings, for all new business opportunity funnel metrics to key stakeholders on a regular cadence.
