About The Position

The Manner, a distinctive luxury lifestyle hotel in New York City, is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive group and corporate sales, with a strong focus on group business. This role is responsible for new business development, meeting financial goals, and maximizing revenue across all segments. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a Sales Manager role, a proven track record selling luxury travel within the corporate and group segments, and a strong ability to proactively generate new business, paired with a self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and is motivated to build meaningful client relationships while driving results.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales Manager or similar role within luxury hospitality
  • Proven success driving corporate and group business within the hospitality sector
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and ability to prioritize
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and follow-through
  • Fluent in English

Responsibilities

  • Driving new business through prospecting, client visits, and strategic sales travel
  • Building and managing a strong pipeline across corporate and group segments
  • Leading compelling presentations and guiding opportunities from inquiry to close
  • Owning assigned accounts and consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals
  • Managing RFP processes, negotiated rates, and corporate account development
  • Partnering closely with Revenue Management and operations teams to ensure timely, seamless execution
  • Coordinating site visits and delivering a polished, high-touch client experience
  • Maintaining detailed CRM insights to support long-term relationship building
  • Contributing to overall hotel performance across ADR, occupancy, and revenue
  • Proactively develop new business through targeted outreach and sales travel
  • Qualify and convert inbound inquiries aligned with ADR, occupancy, and RevPAR goals
  • Lead site inspections and client engagements to secure high-value business
  • Execute a strategic sales plan aligned with revenue objectives
  • Represent the property at industry events to expand market presence
  • Monitor market trends and competitive positioning to inform strategy
  • Grow and manage a portfolio of high-value accounts
  • Provide clear reporting on pipeline, production, and sales activity
  • Partner with Revenue Management to ensure profitable business mix
