About The Position

The Sales Manager is responsible for supporting growth across the TRANSFLO commercial portfolio by managing customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, and partnering with internal teams to deliver transload solutions that meet customer supply chain needs. This role supports revenue retention, volume growth, customer satisfaction, and successful execution across the TRANSFLO terminal network while building sales, account management, and transportation industry expertise.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
1-3 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
Customer relationship management and account support
Consultative selling and customer discovery
Ability to identify and advance new business opportunities
Pricing, financial, and margin analysis skills
Sales pipeline tracking and follow-up discipline
Knowledge of transportation, logistics, supply chain, rail, or transload industries
Ability to understand customer supply chain needs and position TRANSFLO solutions
Microsoft Office skills
CRM, sales reporting, and performance tracking
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to prepare and deliver customer and internal presentations
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Customer Service, Industrial Development, and Sales teams

Nice To Haves

Internship or prior experience supporting customer-facing or commercial activities

Responsibilities

Manage assigned TRANSFLO customer accounts and support revenue retention, volume growth, and customer satisfaction across designated markets or commodity segments.
Identify and develop new business opportunities by understanding customer supply chain needs, commodity flows, terminal capabilities, and competitive alternatives.
Support sales efforts for TRANSFLO and CSX Transportation solutions, including customer outreach, opportunity development, proposal preparation, and follow-up activities.
Partner with TRANSFLO Operations, CSX Sales & Marketing, Industrial Development, Finance, Customer Service, and other internal teams to evaluate opportunities and support customer solutions.
Assist with pricing requests, commercial analysis, customer presentations, and business reviews under the guidance of senior commercial leadership.
Develop and maintain account plans that identify customer priorities, growth opportunities, relationship contacts, competitive risks, and action items.
Build strong customer relationships through regular communication, site visits, issue resolution, and proactive follow-up.
Monitor account performance, customer needs, terminal activity, and market trends to support sales strategy and network growth.
Represent TRANSFLO in customer meetings, internal discussions, and selected industry events as appropriate.
Perform miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
