About The Position

The Sales Manager role requires extensive automotive sales experience and a mature individual with proven business judgment, capable of representing the company to customers and the community. The position demands an in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the organization, its products, and people. The ideal candidate must be a strong communicator with demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and develop people. This role is action-oriented with strong organizational and planning abilities.

Requirements

  • Extensive automotive sales experience.

  • In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the organization, its products and people.

  • Action-oriented person with strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Sales experience in the automotive industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., business, marketing, finance, economics, engineering).
  • 3-5 years of experience working directly with Asian OEMs, specifically Honda, Nissan and Toyota.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer accounts to achieve maximum profitable business, short and long term.
  • Ensure successful and smooth implementation of sales plans.
  • Potentially serve as a direct line manager for account managers.
  • Review performance of account managers and supporting staff.
  • Determine account management assignments and staffing.
  • Advise management on negotiation status and propose solutions.
  • Ensure adequate feedback for pricing decisions and support management's pricing positions.
  • Report on overall business situation, customer interface, program teams, and technical staff.
  • Identify root causes of customer complaints, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the marketing strategy and objectives.
  • Review and approve commercial proposals from account/program managers.
  • Support safety and environmental programs to ensure a safe work environment and maintain compliance, including ISO 14000 registration.
