About The Position

As a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving overall revenue growth and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. Your primary responsibility is to manage key accounts, solicit new and repeat business, and develop strategic partnerships to meet and exceed sales goals. You will be instrumental in identifying market opportunities, negotiating contracts, and collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver seamless experiences. Through proactive relationship-building and strong business acumen, you will help position the organization for continued success and long-term growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years hotel experience required with a minimum 3 years hotel sales experience required
  • Confident utilizing MS outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to exercise judgement in evaluating situations and making sound decisions

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Experience in corporate group sales preferred
  • Experience in catering or event management a plus
  • Previous experience with hotel PMS systems a plus. Examples: OPERA, OnQ, Maestro

Responsibilities

  • Conduct property site inspections and actively sell all hotel services to prospective, current, and past clients to maximize revenue.
  • Manage and maintain account details, ensuring all sales activities, proposals, and contracts are properly documented and executed.
  • Prospect for new business through local outside sales calls, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Travel to feeder markets to generate new business opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
  • Meet with, host, and entertain clients as appropriate to develop and secure business.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events to promote the property and generate leads.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery for booked business.
  • Maintain organized sales files and support administrative sales functions as needed.
  • Order amenities or special arrangements for VIP clients and key accounts when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support sales objectives and overall hotel success.
