About The Position

The Sales Manager leads a local team in developing and maintaining strong client, and community relationships, with a core focus on delivering outstanding outcomes for clients while achieving the office sales targets for the Ballarat / Western Victorian market. You will be responsible for ensuring the Ballarat site operates in an effective, professional, and commercially successful manner, while fostering a high-performance sales culture focused on service, results, and long-term client partnerships. A key part of this role is building trusted relationships with both existing and new clients, understanding their business objectives, and delivering highly effective and efficient advertising solutions that drive strong outcomes and long-term value. You will possess sound media knowledge gained from either a media, agency, or Business to Business environment, ideally supported by an established network of industry contacts. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a respected and successful sales organisation with a strong reputation in market. As Sales Manager, you will also play an important leadership and mentoring role within the team, helping develop your sales team while driving a collaborative, client-first culture across the office.

Requirements

  • Outstanding Leadership Qualities
  • Proven knowledge/experience and a strong interest in media sales.
  • Experience in building strong relationships with a diverse customer base.
  • Experience in prospecting, applying sales techniques, tailoring proposals and presenting.
  • Proficiency in the ability to maintain and grow the yield in the market, and the status of the market/client share as well as ability to achieve revenue targets as set by the Company.
  • Advanced time management skills.
  • Commitment to the Company values of delivering the highest levels of customer service with honesty and integrity.
  • A full Driver’s Licence and suitable vehicle for this role as the position requires frequent travel.
  • Previous management experience
  • Right to work in Australia
