Requirements

5+ years of hotel sales experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience managing the sales process
Strong understanding of hotel room blocks.
Experience selling across a variety of market segments, including corporate, group, sports, leisure, SMERF, wedding, government, and social business.
Proven ability to generate new business, develop client relationships, and grow existing accounts.
Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Ability to work collaboratively
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

Hilton experience preferred but not required
Experience with Delphi or other hotel sales and catering systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Own the sales process from start to finish — from initial prospecting and inquiry through contracting, client communication, arrival, departure, and post-stay follow-up.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients across a variety of market segments, including corporate, group, sports, leisure, SMERF, wedding, government, and social business.
Generate new business
Respond to sales inquiries, conduct site tours, develop proposals, negotiate rates and concessions, and close business.
Manage room blocks
Prepare and execute contracts
Maintain consistent communication with clients
Coordinate closely with Front Office, Operations, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other hotel departments to ensure the client's needs and commitments are successfully delivered.
Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately track leads, proposals, contracts, room blocks, and account activity.
Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with meeting planners, corporate accounts, sports organizations, event planners, travel professionals, and local businesses.
Participate in networking events, client meetings, tradeshows, community events, and other business development opportunities as needed.
Monitor competitive hotels, market trends, rates, and business opportunities.
Work closely with hotel leadership and revenue management to identify opportunities to maximize hotel revenue.
Provide exceptional customer service and represent the hotel professionally throughout the entire sales and client relationship process.
