As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, implementing sales and marketing strategies to maximize hotel profits while maintaining customer satisfaction, and meeting and exceeding forecasted and budgeted revenue goals. You will manage group and transient accounts to maximize business potential, negotiate group and transient business and contracts that meet or exceed hotel revenue goals, and ensure all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. This role involves making on-site and field presentations to prospective clients, actively pursuing new clients through creative/innovative sales techniques and aggressive prospecting, and identifying opportunities to upsell customers through food & beverage offerings, room upgrades, AV and lighting upgrades, and spa services. You will drive strategies to develop long-term business relationships and repeat business, enthusiastically and proactively sell the hotel concept to group and catering prospects, and prospect for new group business using a wide variety of methods. You will also attend tradeshows, conduct unique site inspections, create customized menus and proposals, and respond to all customer inquiries within 24 hours. Maintaining accurate information on bookings, producing and distributing accurate group resumes, and providing client and hotel support are key responsibilities. You will also maintain liaison with other hotel departments, be an active part of the property team, drive product quality and a unique guest experience, and maintain a refreshing attitude focused on positive interactions.
