About The Position

This is a genuine opportunity for an experienced sales professional to take ownership of a high-potential territory and grow it. As Sales Manager for the United States, you'll manage a portfolio of accounts across key row crop and specialty growing regions — building and deepening relationships with distributors, co-operatives, and growers while actively developing new business. You'll carry commercial targets, shape your own territory strategy, and operate with a high degree of autonomy, supported by a tight-knit U.S. team and a globally connected organization. This is a role for someone who is energized by the full sales cycle - from prospecting and relationship building through to closing - and who takes genuine pride in the results they drive. You'll have the freedom to work in a way that reflects your experience and judgment, and the accountability that comes with it.

Requirements

  • Proven commercial track record. A strong record in crop protection or agribusiness sales - you've carried a territory, delivered results, and built lasting commercial relationships.
  • Established U.S. networks. Distributors, co-operatives, and growers in your region know you - and you can open doors quickly.
  • Agronomic knowledge relevant to U.S. row crops. You can hold a credible technical conversation on corn and soybeans, and tailor your approach to local cropping systems; experience with wheat, potatoes, cotton, or other specialty crops is a strong advantage.
  • University and Extension relationships. Familiarity with U.S. agricultural university networks
  • A proactive, commercial mindset. You identify opportunities, build a plan, and follow through with the persistence and professionalism needed to win.
  • Self-direction and accountability. You thrive with autonomy, manage your own time and priorities effectively, and hold yourself to a high standard.
  • An entrepreneurial perspective. You're comfortable building and improving - not just maintaining - and you bring energy and initiative to a growing business.
  • Strong communication skills. Clear, credible, and adaptable across growers, distributors, internal teams, and leadership.
  • Willingness to travel extensively. This is a role built on presence and relationships — travel across your territory is a core part of the job.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wheat, potatoes, cotton, or other specialty crops is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver revenue and gross margin targets across your territory with a clear, disciplined approach to account planning and opportunity management.
  • Identify and develop new distribution partnerships and customer relationships, while deepening engagement with existing accounts.
  • Maintain a strong, active pipeline and bring the focus and follow-through needed to move opportunities to close.
  • Build trusted, long-term partnerships with distributors, co-operatives, and key growers across your territory.
  • Understand your customers' operations, pressures, and goals well enough to add real value - not just supply a product.
  • Represent Life Scientific with professionalism and credibility, because people do business with people they trust.
  • Engage confidently in agronomic conversations across key U.S. crops: corn and soybeans required, with wheat, potatoes, cotton, and other specialty crops a strong advantage.
  • Position Life Scientific products clearly and persuasively - on performance, value, and fit for local cropping systems.
  • Support distributor training, field discussions, and product performance conversations as required.
  • Build engagement with agricultural universities and Extension Services to encourage inclusion of Life Scientific products in local agronomy programs and recommendations.
  • Share timely, accurate market intelligence with the Country Manager and broader team - what's happening on the ground shapes how we grow.
  • Collaborate across R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain to ensure product positioning reflects real-world customer needs.
  • Contribute to U.S. go-to-market planning as Life Scientific expands its presence across the country.
  • Manage your territory with rigour - tracking pipeline activity, conversion, and at-risk accounts with transparency and consistency.
  • Report performance clearly to leadership, and bring solutions alongside challenges.
  • Take ownership of your results and your professional development within the organization.

  • Ownership and impact.
