About The Position

Doorways Security Integration, a division of Colorado Doorways, Inc., is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our security integration sales practice. This role is central to expanding our market presence across commercial and institutional verticals, with a focus on Division 28 (Electronic Safety & Security) systems including access control, IP video surveillance, video intercom, and intrusion detection. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building and mentoring a sales team, managing a robust opportunity pipeline, and serving as the primary relationship owner for key accounts and channel partners. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical fluency in physical security systems and proven sales leadership. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role that collaborates closely with our engineering, project management, and field installation teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes and drive sustainable revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales within the security integration, low-voltage, or building technology industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Division 28 (Electronic Safety & Security) systems: access control, IP video surveillance, video intercom, and intrusion detection.
  • Familiarity with leading security platforms such as Acre, Genetec, Brivo, Verkada, Salto, Eagle Eye, and Hanwha, or comparable enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, Division 28 specifications, and system design drawings.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure concepts (IP addressing, PoE, VLANs) as they relate to electronic security systems.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a B2B, solution-selling environment.
  • Experience managing and developing sales teams with demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to engage C-suite, facilities, IT, and operations stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct sales management or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience selling into commercial construction, general contracting, electrical contracting, or facilities/property management markets is a strong plus.

  • Industry certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP (Certified Protection Professional), or comparable ASIS credentials.
  • Manufacturer certifications with Acre, Genetec, Brivo, Verkada, Salto, Eagle Eye, Hanwha, or similar platforms.
  • Established network of general contractor, electrical contractor, manufacturer, and end-user relationships in the region.
  • Experience with Division 28 bid/spec processes and pre-construction sales strategies.
  • Familiarity with service agreement (SLA/RMR) and recurring revenue models in the security industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive new business and expand existing accounts across key vertical markets, including, multi-family, tenant-improvement, education, healthcare, and government.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue Division 28 opportunities including access control, IP video surveillance, video intercom, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through cold outreach, networking, trade shows, and referral relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors, manufacturers and end users.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to identify new revenue opportunities and inform pricing and solution strategies.
  • Represent Doorways Security Integration at industry events, trade associations and networking functions to increase brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance, consultative sales culture.
  • Set individual and team sales targets; provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support.
  • Collaborate with sales professionals and project engineers to ensure technical accuracy in proposals, system designs, and customer presentations.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews, forecasting calls, and team meetings to drive accountability and progress toward revenue goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for key accounts, managing the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through contract execution and post-sale satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with existing clients to identify expansion opportunities, renewal risk, and service improvements.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining strong long-term relationships.
  • Lead the development of compelling proposals, system designs, and presentations tailored to client requirements and budget.
  • Collaborate with our sales professionals, engineering and project management to develop accurate scope-of-work documents, bills of materials, and cost estimates for Division 28 projects.
  • Review Division 28 specifications and construction documents to identify opportunities, scope gaps, and value-engineering options.
  • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and scope with customers and subcontractors in alignment with company profitability targets.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, pipeline stages, and customer interactions in the company CRM system.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence to senior leadership.
