About The Position

The Sales Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a 10–12-month program that combines structured training, mentorship, and real-world experience to build foundational skills in sales, customer service, and business operations. Participants complete one assignment within a technical division, gaining practical experience in sales and customer service, as well as exposure to the sales process and technical product knowledge. The program prepares participants for a Sales Representative role in a technical division such as Coil, Industrial Wood, General Industrial, Packaging, or Protective & Marine. Participants are assigned to one business group and location for the duration of the program. The position begins in January 2027 and is based in the General Industrial Division in Boston, Massachusetts. Relocation is required for the program and may be required again after completion. Participants must be willing to travel overnight up to 50% of the time. After successful completion, participants will be eligible to apply for a full-time Sales Representative role, with opportunities for advancement across Sherwin-Williams’ global business units. The role involves customer contact, which may include minors, and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other items of value. The company has determined that a criminal-history review is necessary to protect its business, operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public.
