This role ensures excellence in customer service in the store by upholding high retail standards to ensure an in-store experience that aligns with company standards. It involves initiating conversations with customers, building relationships to learn interests and identify products to suggest, and assisting customers in the fitting room. The role recommends products aligned with customer needs and preferences through suggestive selling and encourages purchases. It also builds brand loyalty by promoting the rewards program and achieving weekly loyalty sign-up goals, and requires learning about new products and trends to better engage customers. The Sales Lead consistently achieves personal sales targets and contributes to overall store performance, providing information and advice on product performance, features, and specifications. Additionally, the role maintains visual merchandising standards, ensures the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked, and assists in daily store operations including opening and closing, freight processing, accurately processing transactions, handling cash, and maintaining point-of-sale integrity. It involves following company and store policies, procedures, and operational guidelines, and communicating concerns to store leadership. The role also assigns tasks to team members as directed to support operational needs, reacts quickly to all customer and/or employee injuries, and reports them immediately to the Manager on Duty. It participates in Loss Prevention Audits and understands and complies with company loss prevention policies to minimize store shrink. In the absence of other leadership team members, the Sales Lead acts as Manager on Duty and regularly communicates employee concerns directly to the Store Manager. The role also assists with onboarding and training new team members in sales behaviors, customer service expectations, and store procedures, and addresses customer concerns professionally and in accordance with company guidelines.
