About The Position

Silvi Materials is seeking a Sales Intern for a 10–12-week summer experience focused on ready-mix concrete. Based in the Morrisville, Pennsylvania, South New Jersey, or North New Jersey territories, the intern will work primarily in the field and travel to job sites and other plants as needed. The intern will work alongside the sales team and report to the Sales Director, gaining exposure to concrete, sales strategies, customer interactions, and the sales process. The role is approximately 80% field work and 20% office work. Field activities typically take place at client construction sites and include serving as the on-site manager during concrete placements. The intern will also support mix design submissions, quote processing, customer and sales pipeline activities, and coordination with plant, dispatch, accounting, quality control, and other departments.

Requirements

Actively pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Concrete Industry Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Ability to take initiative and work independently with a proactive approach to tasks.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Work in the field, typically at client construction sites.
Serve as the on-site manager during concrete placements.
Process mix design submissions with Quality Control.
Assist and support the sales manager and sales team in day-to-day activities and the overall sales process.
Observe and learn sales strategies, techniques, and customer interactions.
Complete tasks assigned by the sales team, such as preparing presentations, conducting market research, or organizing sales data.
Interact with clients, manage leads, and support the sales pipeline.
Process quotes in response to customer requests.
Partner with the plant, dispatch, accounting, quality control, and other departments.
Communicate information to appropriate individuals or agencies.
