About The Position

Alfa Insurance is offering a Marketing & Sales Internship that provides a structured and formal experience for interns to immerse themselves in the company culture, gain insight into the insurance industry, and explore various career opportunities. The program aims to challenge expectations by treating interns as integral team members, providing meaningful tasks, and fostering collaboration with mentors and employees across departments. Interns will gain knowledge of how an insurance company operates and develop lasting relationships. The internship is located in Georgia, with specific locations to be announced.

Requirements

Rising Junior or Senior in a 4-year university.
Attain Property and Casualty license within 90 days of hire (training, exam, and materials costs are provided).
Computer skills and ability to learn new programs (Microsoft Office).
Good communication skills.
Team player.

Responsibilities

Attain Property & Casualty license (paid for by Alfa).
Be appointed by Alfa to sell insurance, gaining real-world sales experience.
Prospect new business in multi-line insurance.
Quote and bind policies.
Handle customer inquiries.
Document requests and complete changes.
Accept and process premiums and dues in a membership organization.
Utilize strong communication skills on multiple platforms.
Employ conflict resolution skills.
Quickly learn new computer programs and processes.
Adapt to a constantly changing, extremely fast-paced environment.
Provide support to agent and service center staff as needed.
Make decisions to determine applicant insurability and placement using competent skills in binding and processing applications.
