Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience working within a retail, sales, and/or hospitality environment.
  • Acquired knowledge of cannabis strains and applications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Uses basic math skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Cannabis industry and/or health industry experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with, educate, and advise customers face-to-face and by phone.
  • Assist with inventory and cash management.
  • Interact with local service providers.
  • Cross-train in all order fulfillment activities, including preparing orders and entering product information.
  • Assist the General Manager and Assistant Manager with other duties as needed.
  • Assess customer needs and provide appropriate product knowledge.
  • Conduct transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Use suggestive selling strategies and upsell customers.
  • Accept constructive criticism and be coached by upper management.
  • Assist with inventory tasks.
  • Work scheduled shifts and adhere to the company's attendance policy.
  • Follow all safety and CRA rules and policies.
  • Promote the perks of being a JARS customer (Loyalty Program, Referrals, etc.).
  • Record transactions accurately in the POS system, use appropriate login, and ensure the accuracy of the assigned cash drawer.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as needed (key-holder status).
  • Escalate customer issues to upper management when appropriate.
  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude and treat customers and co-workers with respect.
  • Maintain neatness, cleanliness, and organization of the sales floor.
  • Fill in when short-staffed and be willing to be cross-trained.
  • Follow and integrate JARS company policies and procedures with on-the-job interactions, tasks, and behaviors.
  • Listen and respond to customer and coworker needs/requests appropriately and timely.
