About The Position

The Sales Floor Department Supervisor leads and enables associates to deliver a strong customer experience. The role includes coaching and training associates, delegating and following up on daily tasks, managing performance, and ensuring appropriate department coverage. Responsibilities span customer-facing work such as greeting customers, understanding their needs, recommending solutions, and closing sales; non-customer-facing work such as down stocking, inventory management, and area recovery; and store safety, including safety walks, hazard reporting, and reinforcing safe lifting practices. The supervisor works with leaders to identify effective approaches for sales and service objectives and communicates best practices to the team. The role may involve supervising associates in other departments, so broad product knowledge and the ability to engage associates and customers across departments are important. The supervisor communicates concerns, issues, praise, and morale updates to management. The role may occasionally include opening or closing the store or serving as manager on duty. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel for meetings, training, or support of neighboring stores or outlets may be needed.
